"Buffalo"

Evanston, Wyoming

Directions: Take Exit 6, Bear River Dr., from I-80
and head south to the Bear River State Park which will
appear on your right (open from 8am-8pm). Park at the
last parking area you come to and start at the nature
trail map sign. You will pass Buffalo and Elk to
reach this parking lot.

Trail: Easy with 2 flights of stairs.

Clues: Proceed on the nature trail to the steps up
and down from the bridge. Take the foot trail and
cross the same creek twice. You will come out by the
Bear River. When the trail parallel's the road walk
15 paces from the telephone pole you see off on the
left. You will come to a large piece of concrete
jetting out of the dirt reaching for the river. One
step further are more concrete slabs with rods jeering
out of them. In the hole between these slabs, you
will find the BUFFALO.
